1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function correctly, remember your preferences, and provide analytics data.

2. How We Use Cookies

EnterTheLoop uses the following types of cookies:

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include:

• Authentication cookies: maintained by Supabase to keep you signed in and manage your session.
• Security cookies: to prevent cross-site request forgery and protect your account.

Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Platform. These cookies collect data about page views, feature usage, and user journeys to help us improve our services.

We load these tools, and they set their cookies, only after you choose Accept on our cookie banner. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, we do not load them. Our site sends them the page you are on without the part of the web address after a question mark or a hash sign, which can hold details such as an email address or a sign-in link. The one exception is a campaign tag (a label beginning utm_ in the link that brought you to our site, made only of letters, numbers and simple punctuation), which our site may pass on so we can see which campaigns bring visitors.

• PostHog: product analytics, hosted in the EU. It records the pages you visit and, on our public pages only, the buttons and links you click (a link to another site is recorded as that site only), so we can see how the Platform is used. It keeps a cookie, kept for 1 year, holding random identifiers for your browser and for your current visit, and when that visit began and was last active. In local storage it keeps the same, with the address of the page your current visit began on and of the page you came from. In session storage, which your browser deletes when you close the tab, it keeps this visit's campaign tags and the page you came from, and two short notes that tell open tabs apart. It keeps every address without the part after a question mark or a hash sign, except a campaign tag as described above. All of these are named ph_ followed by our project key. To stop it, choose Decline in Cookie settings; we then delete them all.
• Google Analytics: website analytics, provided by Google. It counts visits and shows how people find and move around the Platform. It sets two cookies, each kept for 2 years from your last visit:
  • _ga: tells one visitor apart from another.
  • _ga_GM656Q7FXL: keeps track of your current visit.

When you choose Accept, we also keep a short note in your browser's session storage, named etl_attribution. It holds the path of the page you arrived on; the source, medium and campaign name from the link that brought you there (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign, each only if it is made of letters, numbers and simple punctuation); and the address of the other site you came from, without the part after a question mark or a hash sign. Until you choose, our site holds these only in the open page's memory, never in storage or a cookie, so if you reload the page, open another tab or follow a link that loads a fresh page before choosing, the note starts from the page you were on then. It is sent to us only if you send an enquiry through one of our forms. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab, and we delete it at once if you choose Decline.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, in the footer of our pages and in the menu on a phone. If you decline after accepting, we stop both tools at once and delete their cookies and stored data where your browser lets us.

Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and choices to provide a personalised experience, such as:

• Your selected professional category.
• Theme and display preferences.

One more functional cookie is set only when you arrive through a referral link to register:

• etl_ref: keeps the referral code from that link for 7 days, so that the person who referred you can be credited. It is used for nothing else. We set it without asking because you chose to follow the link.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies or for legal reasons. We will post any changes on this page.
